Privacy policy.

Effective October 30, 2026

This policy explains what API Accounting, Tax & Advisory, Inc. collects through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers this website only. If you are a client, the separate privacy notice we provide as part of your engagement governs the information you share with us in the course of that work.

What we collect

We collect information you type into our contact form: your name, and whichever of email address or phone number you choose to give us. You may also optionally tell us who referred you and which services you are interested in. Nothing on this site requires you to create an account.

Our form submission also records the date and time you sent it and the page you sent it from, so we know what you were reading when you reached out.

Like virtually every website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses and browser information. We do not use these to build a profile of you.

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and how they found us. It sets cookies in your browser and records pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, and whether you submitted our contact form. We use it to judge what is worth writing about, not to identify you.

We do not run advertising trackers or marketing pixels, and we do not sell or share your personal information.

How we use it

We use what you send us to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, to begin that engagement. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Who else touches it

Only the service providers that make this website work:

  • Web3Forms delivers contact form submissions to our office email.
  • Vercel hosts this website and keeps standard server logs.
  • Google Analytics records how the site is used, as described above.
  • Google Maps provides the embedded map on our contact page. Google may set its own cookies when that map loads, under Google's privacy policy rather than ours.
  • Sanity stores and serves the images and text on our blog.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Choosing not to give it

Everything on our contact form is optional except your name and one way to reach you. If you would rather not use the form at all, call us at (925) 827-2222 or email info@apiaccounting.com. If you would prefer the embedded map not load, you can visit our address in your own map application instead.

Seeing, correcting, or deleting what we hold

Email info@apiaccounting.com or call (925) 827-2222 and ask. We will tell you what we have from your website inquiry, correct it, or delete it.

Information connected to tax or accounting work we have already performed for you is a separate matter: professional and regulatory rules require us to retain certain records for set periods, and we will explain what applies if you ask.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. There is no agreed standard for responding to it, and we do not respond to it. We do not follow you across other websites ourselves; Google, whose analytics and maps we use, sets its own cookies under its own policy.

Children

This website is meant for adults seeking professional services. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the revised version here and update the effective date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page for at least thirty days.
